Our method
How we work out your AI Exposure Score
You should know how a number about your career was reached. Here is the whole idea, in plain English.
Step 1
We break your week into tasks
You tell us your role and where your week actually goes. We turn that into the six to eight real tasks you do, in your own words where you gave them. Every task is then sorted into one of three groups: AI can do this now, this is changing, or still yours.
Step 2
We run four checks on that list
01
How much AI can already do
We look at the tasks that fill your week and judge how much of each one today's tools can do or help with. Not whole jobs — tasks.
02
What still needs you
Work that needs your judgement, your name on the decision, people who trust you, or your presence. This part pulls your score down, and that is a good thing.
03
How much AI can lift you
Some roles get faster with AI instead of smaller. We look at whether your work is the kind AI multiplies.
04
How easily you can move
How far your experience carries into nearby roles that are less exposed. This is what makes the plan realistic.
Step 3
The four checks become one score out of 100
A higher score means AI can already cover more of your week. A lower score means more of your week still needs you. The number is a careful estimate of how your work may change — it is not a countdown, and it is not a verdict on you.
- +We start from your tasks, not your job title. Two people with the same title can get very different scores.
- +The score is composed in our own code from the four checks above. The model writing your report never picks the headline number.
- +You can see the task list your score came from, so you can check our reasoning yourself.
- +We write in hedged language on purpose: AI can do or assist with much of a task; humans still verify and carry the responsibility.
Our limits
What we never claim
- —We never say a job is safe from AI, or AI-proof. Nobody can promise that.
- —We never say AI does a task completely or on its own.
- —We never use a percentage or a date we cannot stand behind.
- —We do not predict whether you personally will lose your job. That depends on your employer, your market and you.
EruptYou is career guidance, not employment or legal advice. The exact way we weigh and combine the four checks is our own work and stays private, which is also what keeps the score consistent for everyone.
